How many bedrooms are available?

The Solace House pilot home offers three private bedrooms in different sizes within a shared living environment.

Will I have my own bedroom?

Yes. Each resident has her own private, fully furnished bedroom with an individual digital/keypad lock for added privacy and security.

Is the home furnished?

Yes. Solace House is fully furnished with new furnishings throughout. Each private bedroom includes a full-size bed, desk/workspace, dresser or clothing storage, and bedside table. Shared living and common areas are also fully furnished.

How many bathrooms are in the home?

The Solace House pilot home has one full bathroom, shared by all three residents. Prospective residents should be comfortable with a shared-bathroom living arrangement.

What areas of the home are shared?

Residents share the kitchen, full bathroom, living room, laundry area, and other common living spaces.

Is a washer and dryer available?

Yes. Solace House provides an on-site washer and dryer for resident use.

Yes. Wi-Fi is provided and included in the monthly rent.

Yes. On-site driveway parking is available. Limited street parking may also be available near the home. Parking arrangements will be reviewed with residents before move-in.

Solace House is designed with resident safety and privacy in mind. The property is fully fenced and includes exterior security cameras, along with individual digital/keypad locks on each private bedroom door.

How much are the rooms?

Solace House offers three private bedrooms in different sizes, with pricing based on room size:

Small Private Room — $575/month
Medium Private Room — $750/month
Large Private Room — $800/month

Utilities and Wi-Fi are included in the monthly fees. All bedrooms are private and fully furnished.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes. A $500 security deposit is required. Solace House may be able to provide information about third-party security deposit assistance resources when available; assistance is not guaranteed.

Yes. There is a $25 application fee. Fee waivers may be available for eligible applicants.

Residents begin with an initial six-month lease.

Who can apply?

Solace House welcomes adult women, with women 40+ preferred. Applicants must have stable, verifiable, recurring income sufficient to meet the monthly residency fee and personal financial obligations and must be able to live independently. Qualifying income may include employment income, Social Security benefits, SSI/SSDI, retirement or pension income, veterans benefits, or other documented recurring lawful income.

All applicants must successfully complete the Solace House application, screening, and intake process.

Are children permitted to live at Solace House?

No. Solace House is designed for individual adult residents, and children may not reside in the home.

Solace House maintains guest and visitor restrictions to help protect the privacy, safety, and comfort of every resident in our shared living environment. Specific guest and visitor expectations are reviewed with prospective residents before move-in.

Yes. Residents are expected to follow established house rules and shared-living expectations designed to maintain a safe, peaceful, respectful, and well-maintained home for everyone.

Yes. Prospective residents must complete an application and intake process, employment and income verification, and background screening. Solace House carefully screens prospective residents to help maintain a safe and compatible shared-living environment.

Can I tour the home?

Yes. Private tours are available by appointment only to prospective residents who have successfully completed the application, intake and screening process, including the required background check.

This helps protect resident privacy and ensures tours are reserved for applicants who meet Solace House's initial eligibility requirements. No walk-in or unannounced tours are permitted.

Question 22

Does Solace House offer additional resident support?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After a resident's first 90 days in good standing, she may become eligible to participate in additional Solace House programs and opportunities designed to support continued stability, personal growth, and long-term independence. Additional information is provided to residents as they progress through the program.
